Independence Day Carnival @ Epicentre

Gone are the days when Independence Day meant watching patriotic films while in bed. This time you have to ditch laziness, reunite with friends and family because the Independence Day Carnival at Epicentre is back, filled with more action. Presented by Max Life Insurance.

It is going to be a day of  special workshops & exhibition, film, music & dance for family fun…so you get started at 10:00 am for a long day of frolic.

We inaugurate the carnival with ribbon cutting and reciting the national anthem, soaking up the spirit of freedom. Then, until 11:30 am meet Bhai Miyan (Limca book of records holder), as he showcases 150 kites flown on a single string. The bright, young stars are sure to have a great time with exciting events lined up at Kid’s Zone all through the day. From 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, best science projects from schools like G.D. Goenka School, Ryan International School, Amity School, Summerfields School, will be exhibited, and there’s also a fancy dress competition. Make some time between 11 am to 1 pm for inter-school skit competition, and who knows your child might get inspired to act too! Right from 11 am to 6 pm in the evening, Potter’s wheel is going to enthral all the painting and pottery lovers, followed by a competition of pottery painting for kids.

Shopping is an integral part of every carnival. Shop till you drop at The Great Indian Bazaar on the 15th of Aug. Come shop for your kids , yourself and your home.

If you are thinking of the delectables you are going to eat, be rest assured that you will get interesting food from around the world. Right from what every Indian loves that is street food like chaat to biryani, kababs and South Indian treats, Kashmiri cuisine to burgers, pizzas, candyfloss, and popcorns there is much more to satiate your taste buds.

There are some workshops like Rubik’s cube by Denil Vira, Beading Curtains and Weaving Mals by Yuti- Exploring Culture for your kids. Registrations are mandatory. So, please contact Aditi Chauhan @ 9810059550 in advance.

Watch Stanley Ka Dabba, a 96 minutes Hindi film that is loved by all kids at 2:00 pm. We add some more Bollywood flavors at 7:30 pm by indulging in an evening of Dance and Music. A bollywood evening of dance & music, beginning with the relevance of Kathak in today’s bollywood, directed and composed by Pt. Birju Maharaj, along with a composed modern music in ballet form by Bhakti Anand, followed by a Bollywood night by Mauli Dave, a singer, actor, dancer, television host & the finalist on Zee TV’s’ Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007.
