THE FINEST THEATRE EXPERIENCE IN INDIA @ THE 15TH OLD WORLD THEATRE FESTIVAL!

The Old World Theatre Festival 2016 is reaffirming its vision with a spectacular assemblage of the finest theatre in India today! Plays that entertain and provoke, plays that question and span a gamut of issues from relationships, freedom and gender stereotypes, religion and faith, eroding ecosystems and assaults on sustainable agriculture and rural livelihood all find a place here.

The curtain-up on 8th October will be with Barff featuring the versatile actress Sadia Siddiqui and veteran actor-director Saurabh Shukla. The acclaimed Ramayana brought alive by Jalabala Vaidya and Akshara theatre will follow on the 9th, a moving tribute to theatre doyen Gopal Sharman who passed away earlier this year. The timeless classic Ibsen’s Doll’s House by Ila Arun has Ira Dubey in the lead. We also have Purva Naresh’s hugely entertaining Ladies Sangeet to lighten the mood.  Kaizad Kotwal’s widely debated Agnes of God also gives a whole new dimension to the festival’s scope.

Be sure to grab your tickets for the year’s most celebrated theatrical gala!
