Richard Briers and Bernard Cribbins took the lead roles in the original West End theatre production. It had a highly successful nine-year run in various theatres: Shaftesbury Theatre (March to December 1983), Criterion Theatre (December 1983 to March 1989), Whitehall Theatre (March 1989 to May 1990), Aldwych Theatre (May to September 1990) and Duchess Theatre (September 1990 to December 1991).
A film adaptation was also released in February 2012. Having created waves throughout the world, the play is back to enthrall theatre lovers in Delhi NCR.

Set in South Delhi, it is the story of a taxi driver called Sabby Gill, who has been juggling two wives in different homes by relying heavily upon a very precise schedule which he adheres to religiously. Trouble ensues when a head injury causes his schedule to go awry. To make matters worse, there are two inspectors at both his homes looking for him while investigating the incident. What follows is a laugh a minute riot as Sabby tries to keep his secret through false stories and fabrication of a web of lies. Come and enjoy this roller coaster ride exclusively at Epicentre!
